Emanuela Muzzupappa
Film director Emanuela Muzzupappa was born in 1995 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. In 2019 she wrote and directed the short film Accamòra which was selected at SIC within the 77th Venice Film Festival. In June 2023, she graduated from the directing course at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Love’s Servant premiered at the Poitiers Film Festival in France.

Bogdan Theodor Olteanu
Independent film and theatre director, Bogdan Theodor Olteanu was born in 1976 in Bucharest. He was a rugby player, an investigative journalist at a leading daily newspaper, a sports marketing consultant, a political communication consultant. He is a founding member of the online culture magazine SUB25. His latest film Taxi Drivers (2023) was a box office hit, one of the most viewed Romanian films in the last decades.

Ivan Bakrač (born in 1987 in Montenegro) graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Design in Belgrade with an MA degree in film directing. He has written and directed short and medium-length films that participated in international festivals. A member of the European Film Academy, he also works as a festival programmer. A religious sect congregates by a lake in a forest. They are preparing to perform a baptism the next day, but teenager Anna has her own plans. “The main theme of Eighth Day is growing up in a strict religious sect. I based the film on my own family, part of which belongs to a fundamentalist Christian religion. Eighth Day is an account of the clash between free will and ideological indoctrination that children growing up in this oppressive and patriarchal environment are subjected to.” (P. Pylypčuk)
