TSFF ACADEMY: THE FESTIVAL FOR FILM STUDENTS FROM CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

Alpe Adria Cinema has been interested in the education of young people since its inception. One of its main goals has always been to introduce new generations to the world of cinema. Over the years, thanks to this custom and also thanks to a programming of events that consistently tries to be more transversal and of interest to different audiences, the number of students has grown steadily.

The TSFF ACADEMY was established in 2020.

The TSFF Academy in numbers:

  • 4 NIGHTS of accommodation + ACCREDITATION OFFERED BY THE FESTIVAL

The TSFF Academy was created to give film students, from Central and Eastern Europe, the opportunity to have an educational experience in an international context such as the Trieste Film Festival. Students are selected from the most prestigious universities and film academies of the different countries involved, including  Italia, Bulgaria, Croazia, Slovenia, Repubblica Ceca, Serbia, Slovacchia, Romania e Bosnia Erzegovina.

In 2025, the TSFF Academy hosted 100 students during 5 days of the festival (January 20-24 2025) with a structured itinerary that included screenings, masterclasses, meetings with leading industry experts, and the festival’s selection committee: an intense and engaging program to fully experience / fully immerse themselves in one of Europe’s leading festival dedicated to Central and Eastern European cinema.

L. Caragiale’ (Romania) and the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest, as well as the VSMU – Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
