CULTURE BEYOND ACCESS: HOW TO PLAN AND ORGANIZE INCLUSIVE AND ACCESSIBLE CULTURAL EVENTS

by Creative Europe Media Desk Italy, Germany and Slovenia
free entrance
english only

How to make an event accessible? How do you design and organise a cultural event, festival or performance that is inclusive and open to all? Openness to cultural enjoyment, based on the principle of equal opportunities, presupposes the architectural accessibility of the event venue and access to the experiences promoted and the content of the event.

However, for this target group, barrier-free access to the event venue and event content is not always guaranteed. The meeting will showcase projects supported by Creative Europe, the EU Programme supporting the cultural and creative sectors and encouraging inclusion, equality, diversity as well as active participation in the creative process and in the audience of people with disabilities, people belonging to minorities and to socially marginalised groups.

It aims to be an opportunity to learn from each other, discuss and exchange good practices in order to think more inclusively, also in the light of the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Metka Dariš, Vice President Europa Cinemas, will make an introductory speech on the topic of inclusive and accessible cultural events and moderate the panel debate.
Speakers: Živa Jurančič Kinodvor (Slovenia), Andres Schüpbach Greta&Starks (Germany), Federico Spoletti  INCinema Festival (Italy)
