TSFF37 | The Opening Theme

What festival would be without its theme song? And now that we have it, let’s really start counting down the days. This edition is dedicated to the bora of Trieste, the wind that comes and disrupts everything, that makes all that noise before giving us clear, resounding horizons.
“Bora over Trieste” is also the title of Gianni Alberto Vitrotti’s short film from which the theme song is taken, shot in the same years in which Ugo Borsatti’s photographs chosen as this edition’s poster were taken. Making it all the more magical is the a cappella musical composition by the Trieste-based Les Babettes.

Concept by Max Mestroni [Claimax]; video editing by Emanuele Paravano; original music by Les Babettes. Based on the short film “Bora over Trieste” by Gianni Alberto Vitrotti (1954) courtesy of the Cineteca del Friuli and Valentino Vitrotti.
