Anna and Lars are staying on a remote Mediterranean island for the summer holidays. It feels like paradise, until an unexpected encounter puts their relationship to the test, pushing them to re-evaluate what they want from each other. Paradise was awarded Best Short Film at the Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož in 2019.

Four old women reflect on their memories of old times when they were young and how different the relationships between men and women were back then. Their voices merge into one single voice, that of grandmother Vera, who tells her story in proper detail. A trip into grandmother’s youth and the memories of her intimate life illustrate the status of Slovenian women in the first half of the 20th century. The film received many international awards, including Best European Short Film at the 2022 EFA and Best Animated Short Film at the 2023 César Awards.

The film takes place in Catlands, the union of distinct feline territories inhabited by cats of various social classes. The delicate established status quo is disrupted by newcomers trespassing on the cats’ united territories. To address this cross-territorial issue, the most prominent residents devise a cunning plan, one that cannot be executed without harming some innocent victims.

Clearing his late father’s apartment, a young man is forced to relive the traumatic memories of growing up and losing his soul.
“Facing exclusion in society creates a sense of loneliness in the individual. The desire to be accepted by others often forces us to put on a mask. In the film, I explored the lives of innocent children and parents who are the targets of society’s prejudices … The film is animated using stop-motion puppetry.
