A taxi car enters Bucharest in the middle of the night, Mara and her mom seek refuge with relatives. As a curious passenger, Mara is observing the adults around her and starts doubting their reasoning.

Andreea Lăcătuș
Andreea Lăcătuș is a film director, interdisciplinary artist and cultural producer born in 1993 in Buzău, Romania. Alumnus of Sarajevo Talents 2018 and Midpoint Training 2016, is working on a PhD focused on narratives of representation of vulnerable communities in fiction film. Between the Edges of the Day premiered at the latest Sarajevo Film Festival.

Olga Kosanović
Olga Kosanović, born in 1995 in Austria, is a director and cinematographer living in Vienna. In 2020 she completed her film studies at the HFBK Hamburg in the class of Angela Schanelec. Land of Mountains premiered at Diagonale in Graz and was then successfully presented in other European film festivals.

She holds a BFA in filmmaking from CalArts and has over 7 years’ experience in the fields of cinema and media in Europe and the US. A Piece of Liberty won the Audience Award at the latest Drama International Short Film Festival in Greece.

Film director Gvozden Ilić was born in 1998 in Belgrade where he graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, majoring in film and television directing. He co-directed several music videos for Belgrade’s new wave rock bands. He also directed commercials and humanitarian campaigns. Heartbeat premiered at the latest Sarajevo FF.
