The Berlinale contributed to the cultural programme of the European Football Championship, hosted by Germany in 2024, with the compilation film Eleven Tomorrows: Berlinale Meets Football. For this project, 11 short documentaries have been commissioned about 11 very different youth football teams. The films have been made by students at the Munich University of Television and Film (HFF München) in collaboration with the teams themselves, under the artistic direction of Benedetta Films. Eleven teams, each consisting of two HFF students (directing and cinematography), researched in order to make the short film. Teams from the following clubs were involved: FC Internationale Berlin 1980 (Traumtor, directed by Eva Gemmer), FC Español München (Zooom, directed by Hannah Jandl), FC Ingolstadt 04 (Voy, directed by Kilian Armando Friedrich), Athletic Sonnenberg (Social Club, directed by Sophie Mühe), FFC Wacker München 99 (Wacker, directed by Anna-Maria Dutoit), SG Crostwitz 1981 (Es wäre ein anderes Meer, directed by Justina Jürgensen), ISC AlHilal Bonn (B-Girls, directed by Hilarija Ločmele), TSV Maccabi München (Rauswachsen, directed by Daniela Magnani Hülser), Türkiyemspor Berlin 1978 (Vanilla Sky Habibi, directed by Marie Zrenner), K.S. Polonia Hamburg 1988 (N3yamar, directed by Maximilian Bungarten) and SV 67 Weinberg (Miteinander reden, directed by Indira Geisel). A compilation of 11 short films on the inclusive function of football for young people. Each of the films shows how important friendship and community are for kids and teenagers when growing up in different circumstances. The film premiered at the Berlinale in 2024.
