Applications are now open for the 5th edition of the Lab of Cultural, Creative and Festival Journalism, promoted by the MIOB network of festivals, which includes the Trieste Film Festival and Les Arcs Film Festival. The program seeks 12 young Europeans eager to learn journalistic techniques applied to the cultural sector — with a particular focus on cinema.
For this edition, the lab will be organized in collaboration with Cineuropa, one of the leading platforms dedicated to European cinema. Participants will be mentored by a Cineuropa journalist, gaining hands-on experience in the profession and international film journalism.
The lab offers a unique opportunity to take part in a festival with a press accreditation, working side by side with other young journalists! Participants will cover festival activities, interview guests, and publish their articles on the MIOB and partner festivals’ websites.
Additionally, participants will be invited to write reviews, articles, and reports about the films screened and their festival experience. Among all contributions, the selection committee will choose the best article, which will be published on Cineuropa — a special recognition of the author’s talent and dedication.
The project includes on-site participation in one of the partner festivals:
Les Arcs Film Festival (16–20 December 2025) or
Trieste Film Festival (20–25 January 2026).
Apply by filling out the application form here. The deadline is November 14.
