“No Man’s Land” at the Ariston Cinema

The Culture and Arts Club, in collaboration with Casa del Cinema in Trieste, presents *No Man’s Land* by Danis Tanović on Tuesday, June 23, at 6:00p.m. Winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2002, the film is set in 1993 during the Bosnian War and follows two enemy soldiers stranded together in “no man’s land.” A fierce and grotesque satire on the absurdity of war, the ineffectiveness of the UN, and the cynicism of the media.
The screening at the Ariston Cinema will be introduced by Nicoletta Romeo, artistic director of the Trieste Film Festival, and Alessio Bozzer, curator of the film series.
