Tonight, Tuesday, July 21, at 9:00 p.m. at the Giardino del Cinema arena, there will be a screening of *Fiume o morte!*. The film will be introduced by director Igor Bezinović and Nicoletta Romeo, artistic director of the Trieste Film Festival. The film won the award for Best European Documentary at the most recent European Film Awards.
In 1919, the Italian poet, dandy, and war propagandist Gabriele D’Annunzio occupied the city of Fiume/Rijeka. Today, its residents recount, reconstruct, and reinterpret the unique history of their city in an energetic and fiercely punk cinematic journey.
