In theaters, a selection of films from the 37th edition of the Trieste Film Festival: TSFF in Tour returns to Italian theaters for its 9th edition. Conceived by the Trieste Film Festival and Lo Scrittoio, the initiative brings to cinemas across Italy a selection of five titles offering a sharp portrait of Central and Eastern European society and its vibrant cinematic scene — films capable of exploring a complex present without forgetting the recent past, whose wounds still echo through the fragile contemporary reality we are living in today.
Today more than ever, a powerful wind is blowing that forces us — much like in the festival’s beautiful opening sequence — to stubbornly try to stay grounded, holding on to our values and to a sense of human solidarity that seems to be slipping away.
