Doppelgänger, also known as Alen Dokic, was born in Rome in 2000 to Bosnian parents who found refuge in Italy after the war in Yugoslavia. He entered into the rap scene in 2021, when he won over TikTok audiences with his songs and content, which are aimed at young people of Balkan origin. His collaboration with legendary Bosnian rapper Frenkie on the track “Mic Check” marked an important step in his career, helping him gain recognition not only in Italy but also internationally.
In 2022, with the singles “Alen” and “BLKN BLD”, he further expanded his audience thanks to lyrics in Italian, English, and Bosnian. His music, which blends Hip-Hop and rap, resonates strongly with second-generation youth. Recognition from Albanian singer Dafina Zeqiri led him to collaborate with her label in Kosovo, and his projects “BLKN BLD” and the EPs “BALKAN REPRESENT VOL.1 and VOL.2” have over 2 million streams on Spotify. With a social presence of 1 million followers on TikTok and 250 thousand on Instagram, Doppelgänger continues to grow, also collaborating with Dubioza Kolektiv in 2024. On December 6, his new EP “BALKAN REPRESENT vol.3” was released.
In 2025, he began collaborating with 148 Booking, performing at festivals such as Idol Music Fest, Tom Fest @ Hiroshima Mon Amour, Spaghetti Festival @ Testaccio Estate, and MIA – Meeting Internazionale Antirazzista.
In October, he was a guest at the Romics Talk at the Nuova Fiera di Roma for the book “C’era Una Volta L’Est” by writer Boban Pesov.
In November, his new EP “C.O.M.”, created in collaboration with rapper GodDamn, was released on all digital platforms.
He performed at Industrie Fluviali for the event “About a City Roma,” organized by the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Culture of Roma Capitale and Municipio VIII.
