The 37th edition of the Trieste Film Festival is also devoting special attention to younger audiences, with a program designed to introduce children to cinema through engaging stories and creative activities.<\/p>\n\n
Saturday, Jan. 17<\/strong>, at the Miela Theater presents Tich\u00e1 po\u0161ta (A Secret Delivery)<\/em> by J\u00e1n Sebechlebsk\u00fd, an adventure set at the end of the war, recommended for ages 10 and up, which follows a group of children grappling with a secret mission, focusing on the values of friendship and ingenuity. On the afternoon of the same day<\/strong> is Poh\u00e1dky po Babi\u010dce (Tales of the Enchanted Garden)<\/em>, an animated film for all ages and a nominee for the European Film Awards 2026, which celebrates the power of imagination through the stories invented by three children.<\/p>\n\n
On Sunday, Jan. 18 <\/strong>, the Miela Theater hosts Animated Hungarian Magics<\/em>, a selection of short films made between 1975 and 2000, suitable for all ages and characterized by great inventiveness and poetry. On Monday, Jan. 19<\/strong>, the program specifically targets elementary school with the matinee Peter and Friends Discovering Nature<\/em>, recommended for ages 6 to 10, which features restored episodes of the famous Hungarian animated series, followed by a final film forum designed to stimulate dialogue with young viewers.<\/p>\n\n
Rounding out the offerings are some activities by reservation. The creative workshop<\/strong> A mano a mano!<\/em>, curated by Gaia Mencagli and Roberta Colacino, recommended for ages 5 to 10, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 17 and Sunday<\/strong> , Jan. 18<\/strong>, while the urban treasure hunt<\/strong> Alla scoperta di Trieste<\/em>, curated by Marzia Arzon, aimed at girls and boys ages 7 to 13, to learn about the city through play and collaboration, is also taking place on Sunday, Jan. 18<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
